1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and SynapDesk for access to the SynapDesk website, support workspace, website chat widget, and related services. By creating an account, inviting a team member, or using the service, you agree to follow these terms and any product instructions presented with the service.
You must be able to enter into a binding agreement in your location. If you use SynapDesk for a business or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
2. Accounts and workspace ownership
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping login credentials, invitations, and workspace access secure. The person or organization that creates a workspace is responsible for its configuration, billing choices, team members, and content.
Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your workspace unless the activity resulted from SynapDesk's breach of these terms.
3. Team members, roles, and permissions
Workspace owners may invite team members and assign the roles or permissions made available in SynapDesk. Owners should only give access to people who need it and should remove access when a person leaves the team or no longer needs the workspace.
You are responsible for explaining your internal rules to team members. Team members must use the workspace only for the organization they were invited to support.
4. Workspace data and customer conversations
You may add customer conversations, contact details, knowledge-base articles, internal notes, workspace settings, and other material to SynapDesk. You retain responsibility for that content, including its accuracy, lawfulness, and the permissions needed to collect and use it.
You authorize SynapDesk to host, store, display, and process workspace content as needed to provide the service, support your account, protect the service, and follow your instructions.
5. Website chat widget
SynapDesk currently provides customer conversations through its website chat widget. You are responsible for installing the widget correctly, describing it accurately to visitors, and configuring any welcome text, routing, or customer-facing settings available in your workspace.
You must not use the widget to collect information you are not permitted to collect or to represent SynapDesk as your own service provider in a misleading way.
6. AI Agent and human responsibility
The AI Agent can use information from your workspace knowledge base and relevant conversation context to suggest or generate customer replies. AI outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for a particular customer or situation.
Your team is responsible for deciding whether to send, edit, or reject an AI reply and for maintaining the knowledge used by the AI Agent. You should provide human review for sensitive, regulated, financial, account-specific, or otherwise consequential matters.
7. Plans, seats, and AI credits
The Free workspace includes one teammate, a shared inbox, the website chat widget, contacts, conversation history, and core workspace features. AI Agent access is not included in Free.
Each additional team-member seat costs $20 per seat per month. An AI credit package costs $20 per month and provides 20 AI credits. Credits are consumed when the AI Agent handles customer conversations, and the amount used depends on AI Agent activity. Additional credits may be purchased as made available in the service.
Purchasing an additional seat or an AI credit package unlocks the white-label messenger experience, which removes SynapDesk branding from the customer-facing widget. Billing, renewal, cancellation, taxes, and refunds remain subject to the checkout information and payment terms presented when a purchase is made.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use SynapDesk to break the law, infringe another person's rights, distribute harmful or abusive material, send deceptive communications, interfere with the service, probe or bypass security, or access another workspace without authorization.
You may not use the AI Agent or website widget to make decisions about a person in a way that violates applicable law, or to present generated content as guaranteed professional advice.
9. Third-party services
SynapDesk may rely on third-party providers for infrastructure, authentication, email, payments, analytics, or AI processing. Those providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to SynapDesk. Third-party services may have their own terms and policies, and SynapDesk is not responsible for services it does not control.
10. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue parts of SynapDesk. We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate misuse, address payment issues, or comply with a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will try to provide notice.
You may stop using SynapDesk or request workspace closure. Account closure may remove access to workspace content after the applicable retention period, so export information you need before closing an account.
11. Data export and deletion
Workspace owners may request available exports or deletion by contacting hello@synapdesk.app. We may retain limited information when needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational records. Deleted content may remain temporarily in backups before it is removed through normal backup cycles.
12. Intellectual property and feedback
SynapDesk and its software, branding, interfaces, and documentation are owned by SynapDesk or its licensors. We give you a limited right to use the service during your active account in accordance with these terms. You retain rights in content you submit and give SynapDesk the limited permission needed to operate the service.
If you send feedback or suggestions, you allow SynapDesk to use them to improve the service without creating an obligation to you.
13. Disclaimers and responsibility
SynapDesk is provided as a support tool and is not a replacement for professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice. You remain responsible for customer communications, workspace content, account decisions, and the way your team uses AI-assisted outputs.
These terms do not make commitments about uninterrupted availability, specific response quality, or particular business outcomes. Any warranties, limitations, or remedies should be reviewed and approved by qualified counsel.
14. Contact
